SUPER Saturday

It's a tradition to end our Summer Fun Camp with SUPER SATURDAY where kids come to play a lot of carnival games and get snacks so that we get a chance to play and talk with them. 

Though we were only at the camp for about 2 hours a day for 6 days in total a bonding has developed and it was difficult for us both to say goodbye at the end.

The children camp always ends off with this beautiful song reminding the kids that knowing Jesus is the most important and precious thing in life and trusting Jesus is the greatest blessing.

We had a surprise moment at the evening party celebrating August birthdays as well as Peter's AND Frieda CMo's 70th birthday this year! God bless!

Boys...

Thank You's from Pastor Enoch and Frieda CMo... But it's us who would like to appreciate them for all their time, work, dedication and heart for the past 40 years serving the natives up in northern Quebec! It's truly inspiring and admirable. We cannot do anything without the LORD's presence, grace and mercy.

Sunday Time to Leave

After morning worship, brunch and clean-up, we finally need to say goodbye to Pastor Enoch and Frieda and the Bible School, a home away from home. We all had a great time serving the natives and each other. May we continue to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

We'll be leaving Chibougamau at about 11:30am and it'll take about 15 hours in total to get back home. Please keep our safety in prayers, and please also pray for those who are under the weather. And please pray for Pastor Enoch and Freida for their health and direction of ministry.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

[Updated @ 4:15am] All drivers are now home after driving all passengers back home, settling down the trailer, returning the rental vans... etc. Thank you all! And we are so thankful to God for giving us great weather and for protecting us on the road, and yet another fruitful year of missions! Will post about "Super Saturday" and prayer items soon. Stay tuned!

Friday Last Official Day of Camp

We came to the last official day of the children/preteens camp yesterday! And we're going to have Super Saturday today where there'll be a lot of carnival games and snacks and chances to hang out with and talk to the kids! May the LORD prepare their hearts and guide our conversations.

The last time we did the camp at Mistissini was 2016 and over the past few days the children/preteens back then came to say HI to the team! Now they're either preteens or even teens and how lovely that they still remember the experiences at the camp from years ago!

One huge PTL is that a preteen girl has come to accept Jesus Christ as her Saviour! She was simply moved to non-stop tears when we sang "Good Good Father" which touched her heart so much there is a loving Father God who loves her!

As Jesus is the Light, we are also called to be the light of the world. Please continue praying that each member is shone with the light of Jesus Christ - in healing, encouragement, comfort, conviction of sin, repentance, peace, joy, love... So that we can continue reflecting the Light in the darkness.

Thursday "Introduction"

This is the 19th year for the Quebec JSTM team to be partnering with Pastor Enoch and Frieda to serve the natives. The "introduction" came a little late but here is our team this year!

Highlights...

Praise God for empowering the renovation team to finish the basement work including removing a few 500-pound+ gigantic boulders in order to install support poles to reenforce the foundation of the building as well as digging a 1' by 1' and 25' long channel for water to flow to the pump.

It was raining on and off during the camp so the preteens team had to come into the building for a few times, but because of that they were able to be even more attentive to the Gospel story.

The kitchen team had a super long day preparing us a very special dinner... here are just a few of dishes :) And God brought us some local guests to visit us too!

Please continue to pray for us... for safety, weather, more importantly unity and heart for God, compassion for people and wisdom to deliver God's truth to the children and preteens. Thank you!

Wednesday Midweek Craze

Say goodbye to July and hello to August! JSTM had another full day today! Though it was midweek and we could sense some tension and irritation here and there, which is just normal for us human beings, we continue to seek God's mercy and pursue bearing each other in love and patience and forgiveness and be open hearted for the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is to be praised!

Thank God for providing us very nice weather and keeping the renovation team safe as they finished all roof work yesterday. They continue to do the basement work today. They are really a team who can 飛天遁地.

Lord, have mercy on those children and preteens. The Children/Preteens teams will be presenting the Gospel to both groups today.

We went for an outing after the camp too!
