Wednesday Action

The action continued! But let us first introduce our team to you!

This is our team of 44 + Rev. Enoch Hall and Frieda. We are of different ages from different churches with different cultural and life backgrounds but we have the love from the one same LORD Jesus Christ to serve Him and His people in one same Spirit!

Children/Preteens Team is in charge of the children/preteens camp at Perch River from Tuesday to Saturday. Each day we drive about an hour to Perch River. The theme for the children camp is "Five-Colour Cave". Preteens camp combines a few stories from the Bible to bring out the invitation from Jesus into their hearts and to walk the journey of faith towards Christlikeness.

Kitchen Team always wakes up the earliest every day to start working and they provide us not only 3+ meals a day but also their tender loving care to make sure that we have enough energy to serve God! They are the necessary support!

Renovation Team works so hard each year to secure the "Bible School" for the ministries during the summer time and to survive the harsh winter. A few of the brothers actually came up in June to fix the sewage to ensure that the washrooms are working properly.

Worship Team takes care of daily morning worship, two Sunday worship services and three evening worship sessions at the Perch River Camp Meeting. We have added more colours into the musical arrangements with different instruments and we also added a bit of dancing into the song "God So Loved the World" (神愛世人) on the last day of Camp Meeting (Wednesday) that we led praises.

PRAISES & PRAYERS:

Good job, Reno Team! Thank God for safety. They will continue to work on different projects on the "Bible School".
Praise the LORD for many new teens to serve in the Children Ministry this year.
Despite of the distance from Mistissini to Perch River we had about 30 children who have joined the camp so far! It seems like there will be thunderstorm on Saturday so please pray for good weather for the last day of the children camp.
There is this preteen who has her birthday today (Wednesday)
and the Preteens Ministry Team made her a very special muffin.
Happy Birthday! :)
"Winning Souls For Christ" is the theme of the Perch River Camp Meeting this year.
James Bay Grand Chief Dr. Matthew Coon Come was the speaker tonight.
The Camp Meeting is ending on Sunday with baptism in Perch River.
Rev. Enoch Hall sang "Thy Word" in Cree at the Camp Meeting.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
When I feel afraid, and think I've lost my way.
Still, you're there right beside me.
Nothing will I fear as long as you are near;
Please be near me to the end.
Worship Team and a few B/S were enjoying the native style of worship! Simple, free, and experiential!

Praise the LORD!

Tuesday Reunion

PRAISES & PRAYERS:

Worship Team led us in the morning worship to set the tone of fixing our eyes on Christ Jesus when we serve in His grace. The Worship Team also had the honour to share a few songs at the evening Camp Meeting. Tomorrow (Wendesday) evening will be the last time to lead a segment of praises at the Camp Meeting. Since four Worship Team members are also serving in the Children & Preteens Ministries, they had the opportunity to stay at the tent for another hour or so and spend time with some of the children until the rest of the WT came up... with dinner. Thanks to Kitchen Team for preparing such yummy box meal!

Renovation Team did such much the last few days and finished about 75% of the work they've planned to do! PTL! They "went up the hill and into the water" (上山下水) as they have replaced the roof with 12 rolls of asphalt shingles and built 24 feet of retaining walls in the basement to secure the foundation of the "Bible School". Thank God they're still "intact" with a few hurts and a sprained ankle among the team. Please pray for healing and continue to pray for their safety and it is especially hot on Wednesday!

Reunion: Seeing the natives children who have been coming to our camp year after year and remembering who we are is truly a blessing! Their smiles, their friendliness and their acceptance makes us praise God! They sang "Jesus Loves the Little Children" to us in Cree and taught us how to count 1-10 in Cree! Of course, it might take us some time to actually remember them! :P

Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow, black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world

This was the first day of the children/preteens camp and we had 20+ who came! Pray that more children/preteens will be coming to hear the Word of God!

Welcome = Game time!
Always start with worship songs.
Actions make the songs more memorable.
Let's do it together!
We always end with the song, "Before You Go Away".

Before you go away at the end of this good day
Do you, do you know the Lord?
Before we say goodbye, let me ask you one more time
Do you, do you know the Lord?

His peace (His peace)
His forgiveness (His forgiveness)
His words of truth and life
Do you need (Do you need)
His forgiveness (His forgiveness)
Don't let another moment pass you by (pass you by)
Now is the time (Now is the time)

Bonus shot

Yummy pork chop spaghetti with tomato sauce
made by Kitchen Team and served by brothers and sisters.

Monday Mission

Monday was a busy day, we went into full gears! The busier we are, the more we need to pray! We started the day with team worship and encouragement from Rev. Hall.

PRAISES & PRAYERS:
  1. We thought we had to go up in the afternoon to build the tent for Children/Preteens ministries, but thank God that we are now allowed to use a section of the big tent to hold our programs in the afternoon this week.
  2. Worship Team went up to Perch Rive Camp Meeting (a.k.a. revival meeting) in the evening to share a few songs including the Chinese version of "God So Loved the World" (神愛世人). A few people from the Children Ministry also came up to hand out the invitations to children for the upcoming program.
  3. Children/Preteens Ministries will be holding the first day of the camp today at 2:30pm-4:30pm.
  4. Worship Team will go to Perch River Camp Meeting to share some songs again tonight.
  5. Please continue to pray for the safety for the Renovation Team.
