Trust His Heart

An update that our whole missions team has arrived home safely. PTL! Please stay tuned for more pictures and prayer items. We are already looking forward to going back next year! Meanwhile, we'll continue praying for Rev. & Mrs. Hall and OJ and will try to keep in touch with some of the children.

Isaiah 55:8 "'
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the Lord." Proverbs 16:9 "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." Proverbs 3:5-6 "5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

One of the things our brothers and sisters have learned from this missions trip is to trust. To trust that God is Jehovah Jireh, that He provides. To trust God's guidance so we can be flexible in our planning. To trust in the Holy Spirit's prompting to whom and what to say and do. To trust that He is indeed the God I AM and we can be still and rest in Him and let Him use us in any way He chooses. We have been so blessed by Him and we ask Him to make us a blessing to others.

TRUST HIS HEART

All things work for our good
Though sometimes we don't see
How they could
Struggles that break our hearts in two
Sometimes blind us to the truth

Our Father knows what's best for us
His ways are not our own
So when your pathway grows dim
And you just don't see Him
Remember you're never alone

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart
Trust His Heart

He sees the master plan
And he holds our future in His hand,
So don't live as those who have no hope,
All our hope is found in Him

We see the present clearly
But He sees the first and the last
And like a tapestry He's weaving you and me,
To someday be just like Him

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart

He alone is faithful and true
He alone knows what is best for you

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart

When you don't understand
When you don't see His plan

When you can't trace His hand
Trust His Heart
Trust His Heart

On our way home!

As much as we didn't want the misssons trip to end so soon we had to say goodbye to Pastor Enoch & Auntie Frieda and Bible School and Chibougamau and OJ.... This trip has been an eye-opening experience for the first timers and continual thanksgiving for the people who have come before.

Thank God for giving us wonderful weather! Please pray for our safety on the road. The estimated time back to Toronto is about 12-1am.

Monday (July 24) Updates

The renovation team has been working hard for the team and for maintaining the Bible School in a good shape since last Thursday! They are so creative in a way that anything can be used as a fixing agent! They were up on the roof putting new shingles. 70% has been done and they are waiting for more materials. The attic would be one of the places they need to go today as well. Please please please pray for their safety.

The Children & Preteens Ministry had the first day of the camp as well. We hadn't come back to OJ for a few years so it was like a new experience for most of the team members. We pray for wisdom and patience so God's love can be demonstrated through us.

A BIG thank you to the Kitchen Team for feeding us with delicious food so that we have energy to serve God! Let's remember one another in prayers. May God be the glory!

Saturday Night Gathering & Sunday Worship

Our first day (Saturday) here went well! God has blessed us a great reminder of His promise and covenant of love after some rain. And here are our first timers in our team! Welcome!

We are blessed to join the native brothers and sister for Sunday worship this morning. Rev. Enoch Hall encouraged us to really know Jesus because as worshippers we are to worship our God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

Then sings my soul
My Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art

And before worship we went to visit the Cree Cultural Institute and the cultural village.

We'll continue preparing for the children/preteens camp starting tomorrow. Please pray for the weather and the hearts of the children to be opened. PTL!

We are here!

THANK GOD that we've arrived safely at the Bible School @ Chibougamau! A van of the Maintenance Team got here Thursday night so they could get a head start on fixing some of the things. And this morning at 10am the big van and three other vans have also arrived. Pretty early this year we'd say! What a beautiful day today! However, we've passed by a very serious accident on Highway 401 just before 12am. Pray for God's peace and comfort be upon all the people involved.

The Kitchen Team went right into preparing our lunch while the rest of the team was busy setting up the beds and ministry preparation stage.

Some of our team members saying HELLO to everyone!
Thank you for remembering us in prayers!

Today we'll start preparing for our Children & Preteens camp at Oujé-Bougoumou (OJ) which will be held on Monday to Friday. So far there are already over 30 children who have registered for the camp! Most of them are unchurched kids or street kids. Pray that God will open their hearts. After the Friday session we'll have a SUPER FRIDAY carnival games time!

Tomorrow we'll join Pastor Enoch's congregation in OJ for morning worship and our worship team is blessed to be leading praises.
