Byron, thanks for setting up our official website. I would like to share with our mission team a bible study in Missional Evangelism - How do we share the gospel where we live? Please visit http://www.smallgroups.com/downloads/biblestudy/currentissues/mec01.html for details overview Missional is a popular word today. It implies that in our evangelism, we do more than simply throw the gospel at someone. Instead we look at our culture as if we were on the mission field and ask what we can do to connect with that culture and reach those around us. Our new six-session course "Missional Evangelism" does just that. This study will help you see that all places are mission fields and that all people are missionaries. It will also challenge you to reach out to different cultures, ages, and those with broken lives. Finally, it will encourage you to start at the beginning—by getting to know unbelievers. Here is the framework 1. All Places Are Mission Fields All believers are missionaries; all places are mission fields.
2. Reach Your Community Making a difference in your community will require getting outside the church walls.
3. Reach Out to Different Cultures and Ages How can I reach out to younger unbelievers and welcome those from different ethnic backgrounds?.
4. Get to Know Unbelievers Reaching out needs to start with getting to know those who don't follow Jesus.
5. Help Others to Repent Define sin, encourage confession, and learn to listen to help lead others to repentance and salvation.
6. Touch Broken Lives Jesus reached out to a cynical generation, and he teaches us how to do the same.
Ouje-Bougoumou, My First Love: Love declaration to the people of Ouje-Bougoumou during Sunday, July 26, 2009 worship service
Good morning brothers and sisters in Christ: We are a joint mission team from Toronto. Today, I would like to tell you a love story, a love story of Ouje-Bougoumou. This is my first mission trip and my first visit to Ouje bougamou. I give thanks to the Lord for this beautiful piece of land. It is the land given by Him. With God’s creation, there are beautiful trees, lakes and animals. I feel the warmth from you because of your kindness, your generosity and your hospitality. The food you offered us yesterday was great and yummy. There are some touching moments. I was deeply touched by the way you worship God. You worship God wholeheartedly which I really learn from you guys. Praise the Lord! Today is our last day in Ouje-Bougoumou, I feel the sadness of departure. I will be leaving you and this beautiful place. However, there is hope of reunion. We will meet again in the future and please remember that we are united in the Kingdom of God wherever we go. Ouje-Bougoumou, you are my first love. I love you. We love you. God loves you. Amen!
We're going far!
